Details are now being threshed out on how a training bubble for track and field athletes can be done at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium in Capas, Tarlac.
Officials of the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association said this after they went into a series of meetings with a technical working group which will soon submit its recommendations before the Interagency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.
“The bubble extends throughout Clark. And the most immediate bubble is where the athletes will stay, train and compete,” said PATAFA president Philip Ella Juico.
Around 20 national athletes and four coaches will take part in a one-month training camp being planned this November.
Training activities are being worked out with the support of the Philippines Sports Commission and officials of the Clark Development Corporation.
