National bet Andrea Robles placed ninth in the recent 2020 Indoor World Archery finals in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 21-year-old Robles, who is the first Filipino to reach the tournament, was among the top 16 archers who made in the women’s compound division’s preliminaries.

Robles, who is a bronze medalist in the Southeast Asian Games, still got a decent finish.

Her performance came despite losing her first match in the Olympic round to world-record holder Ella Gibson of Great Britain, 145-147.

According to results released on the tournament’s official website, Gibson tied the Robles in the fourth end, 117-all.

Then, she scored three perfect 10s in the fifth to outpoint Robles.

In the finals, 24-year-old Paige Pearce won the first major target title of her senior career.

Pearce beat Lisell Jaatma in the compound women’s finals.

She finished with a perfect 30 and 146 points for the 15-arrow match to Jaatma’s 141.

Before joining the World Cup, Robles was ranked eighth before the final leg.

She earned more points from her stint at the Vegas Shoot, in last month’s Sydney Leg and her historic Indoor World Macau Leg victory last November.

Dave Barnes, Madeline Boyle, Tate Morgan, and Paige Pearce took the titles at the 2020 Sydney Indoor Archery Festival.

The wins pushed Barnes and Pearce to the top spots in the Indoor Archery World Series elite rankings.
