Seafront Residences was a proud sponsor of the Beach Volleyball Republic on Tour Manila Open held last Aug. 17-19.
A total of 32 teams—16 in the women’s and men’s division—have joined in the successful three-day spikefest where the best collegiate and professional beach volleyball players converged at Sands SM By The Bay.
Among those who participated were Seafront Residences’ brand boosters Dzi Gervacio and Bea aTan, who were reunited as partners in the Manila tournament.
BVR founder Charo Soriano, who herself is a brand booster, praised Seafront Residences for its support in growing beach volleyball in the country.
“Seafront Residences, a project by Aboitizland, Inc., has been supporting us since summer of last year. They have been with us for seven legs already from Cebu, Dagupan, Ilocos Sur, Puerto Galera, and now here in the Manila leg,” said Soriano.
University of Santo Tomas ruled the competition, with Sisi Rondina and Babylove Barbon winning the gold medal in the women’s division, while the tandem of Krung Arbasto and Jeron Requinton topping the men’s side.
Gervacio and Tan bagged the silver while Smart’s Grethcel Soltones and Alyssa Eroa won the bronze in the distaff side.
National University’s Bryan Bagunas and James Natividad, and University of Perpetual Help System Dalta’s Jayjay Solamillo and Gilbert Balmores achieved podium finish in the men’s side.
The Manila Open was the sixth leg of the year—and the 32nd overall since the BVR began in 2015.
The next BVR On Tour leg is set on September 1-2 at Gran Ola Resort, Lianga, Surigao del Sur.
