JOE Cantada Sports and the Philippine Volleyball Federation will be holding an Under-18 beach volleyball championship on March 4 at the indoor and outdoor sand courts of the Cantada Sports Center in Taguig City.
There will be boys’ and girls’ divisions and open to players born not earlier than March 5, 2000. Members must be enrolled in the same school. Birth certificates and proof of enrollment (valid school ID or school certification) are required.
Competition is open to both public and private schools. Out of town school teams are most welcome.
Complimentary accommodation and full board will be extended to out-of-town participants starting Saturday afternoon till Monday morning.
Complimentary meals will be provided to all participants during competition. A chaperone or coach will be allowed each participating school and will be accorded complimentary meals as well. There will be no entry fees.
Trophies, medals and gift certificates will be awarded to the winners. The tournament deviates from giving cash prizes in its efforts to bring back the golden values in school sports competition.
