After a spectacular knockout victory over Sangmanee Klong SuanPluResort in the Semifinal of the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai is looking forward to the next stage of the tournament.

Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai (left) connects with a left to the face of Sangmanee Klong SuanPluResort in the Semifinal of the ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament. Kulabdam knocked out Sangmanee to advance to the finals of the tournament. ONE Championship

Kulabdam faces Rodlek PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym in the title match. Kulabdam is confident that he will also prevail and then go on to a showdown against ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao.

Kulabdam beat Sangmanee at ONE: No Surrender III held closed door at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand last Friday, August 21.

The Thai pair, both southpaws, fought on even terms early in the round. Kulabdam relied on superior striking with his fists. Sangmanee was the busier fighter with his short chopping kicks.

Sangmanee made the mistake of trying to box against Kulabdam late in the round. The two traded blows in the middle of the ring and as Sangmanee tried to backpedal Kulabdam unloaded a right uppercut which missed. He followed that with a cracking left straight which hit Sangmanee flush on the face.

Sangmanee fell backward into the canvas senseless and the referee waved off the fight awarding the victory to Kulabdam.

The winner of the match was supposed to fight Saemapetch Fairtex in the finals who was replaced due to injuries.

In the ONE Super Series flyweight Muay Thai contest, Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Mongkolpetch Petchyindee Academy of Thailand beat an aggressive but outclassed Kun Khmer World Champion Sok Thy of Cambodia.

Meanwhile two-time Thailand Muay Thai Champion Wondergirl Fairtex relied on speed and power to overwhelm WBC Oceania Muay Thai Champion Brooke Farrell of Australia in her ONE Super Series debut.

In the ONE Super Series atomweight Muay Thai contest, Estonian Marie Ruumet made an impressive debut by beating overmatched Little Tiger of Japan in three rounds.

Finally, UKFC Featherweight Champion Ben Royle of the United Kingdom scored the first knockout of his career with a TKO victory over 28-year-old Quitin Thomas of the United States to make a spectacular debut at ONE Championship.
