World no. 4 junior netter Alex Eala could make her professional debut at the $15,000 ITF Women’s Futures in Monastir, Tunisia.

The 14-year-old Eala has been put in the reserve list of the tournament, which takes place from March 2 to 8.

World no. 39 Darya Vidmanova of the Czech Republic, another junior girl standout, is also in the same roster with Eala.

Eala was awarded one of the two automatic slots to the main draw reserved for players at the ITF top 100 junior ranking.

The netfest will feature world 400th-ranked Nastja Kolar of Slovenia, Rosa Vicens Mas of Spain and Czech Monika Kilnarova.

And Eala will test herself when she plays many top-ranked pros on hard-court surfaces.

Her participation was made possible through the Rafa Nadal Academy in Mallorca Spain,

Last month, Eala claimed a historic Grand Slam doubles’ victory with Indonesian Priska Nugroho and reached the third round in the singles at the Australian Open Juniors.

She was given a chance to turn pro early after reaching the top 10 in the world junior ranking this year.

Eala will also join the juniors’ tourney as well.
