Diwata CT, Pura Sangre-2 rule MCC derby

Carmona—Diwata CT and Pura Sangre-2 ruled the 2nd Manila Cockers Club 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers from January 27 to February 4 at the world-class Cockers Arena at San Lazaro Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite. 

Allan Tomimbang (Diwata CT) and Atty. Boni Cruz and Engr. Paul Solleza (Pura Sangre-2) display the trophies their entries won in the 2nd Manila Cockers Club 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers as they are joined by MCC officials led by Jose Ramon Magboo (3rd from left).

Allan Tomimbang’s Diwata CT and the Pura Sangre-2 entry of Atty. Boni Cruz and Engr. Paul Solleza garnered seven points each in the MCC tournament, as both champions faced grueling competition during the finals against the entries of Havy Habagat Bagatsing, Atty. Lucien Sayuno, Atty. Carlos Tumpalan, Katy Katigbak, Amado Bagatsing and other popular names in the industry.  

MCC invites all interested breeders to join its 2020 Cock Season Derbies, namely the 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 4 on February 21 to 29); the 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 5 on March 3 to 11; the 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 6 on March 14 to 22 and the 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 7 on March 26 to April 3.  

A guaranteed P6.5 million, plus a P1 million additional fund will be awarded per derby. All derbies will have no entry fees and no minimum/maximum bets, featuring a 3-4 derby format and weight limit of 1.900—2.400 kg.
