7-Stag Clean-Up Derby awards 3 champions

CARMONA—The Manila Cockers Club, Inc., the country’s cockfighting industry game changer, concluded its 7-Stag Clean-Up Derby from January 5 to January 13 at the Cockers Arena, by crowning three champions.

MCC President Jose Ramon Magboo joins the winners of the 7-Stag Clean-Up Derby, namely Tony Espinosa (9 De Pebrero), Timeng Gelarso, Roger Jamisola and Celso Pancho (Conqueror) and Arc. Peter Buendia (Buenas Diaz).

Buenas Diaz of Peter Buendia, Conqueror of Roger Jamisola and 9 De Pebrero of Antonio Espinosa were awarded as derby champions after finishing with 6.5-points. They were followed by Dynamic Star RSA of Samuel M./Arnel A; Farmboys of Ruel Lizarda; JEC 11 DIAMOND of E. Aguilar; NLH GF of Nhelvin Henave; and Viva Penafrancia of Marites Zerrudo with 6-points. 

A total of P6.650 million participating breeders assistance fund were awarded to the winners and runners-up.

 Meanwhile, the MCC is inviting all interested breeders to join its 2020 Cock Season Derbies, namely the 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 1 (January 15 to 23); 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 2 (January 27 to February 4); 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 3 (February 8 to 16); 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 4 (February 21 to 29); 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 5 (March 3 to 11); 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 6 (March 14 to 22); and 7-Cock Derby Qualifiers 7 (March 26 to April 3). 

A guaranteed P6.5 million, plus P1 million additional fund will be awarded per derby. All derbies will have no entry fees and no minimum/maximum bets, featurign a 3-4 derby format and weight limit of 1.900 to 2.400 kg.
