The Manny V. Pangilinan Sports Foundation, a staunch supporter of Philippine gymnastics, has generously awarded P10 million in cash incentives to Paris Olympics gold medalist Carlos Yulo and P2 million each to boxing bronze medalists Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas.

PLDT Chairman Manny Pangilinan personally handed the reward to Yulo, who was accompanied by Gymnastics Association of the Philippines (GAP) president Cynthia Carrion during a ceremony at the PLDT corporate office in Makati.

Petecio and Villegas joined the event via Zoom while their coaches personally attended to receive their share of the incentives. Yulo’s coaching team was granted P5 million, while the coaching teams of Petecio and Villegas each received P2 million.

Pangilinan reaffirmed his commitment to support Filipino athletes as they prepare for future Olympic Games.

“As always, they can count on our continued support until LA 2028. Mabuhay ang atletang Pinoy!” he shared on X.

Yulo’s rewards from both government and private sector sources have now surpassed P100 million.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. awarded Yulo a P20 million cash reward, while the Philippine Sports Commission added another P20 million, sourced from the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation.

Yulo received P14 million from the House of Representatives, which included an additional P8 million on top of the initial reward, recognizing his outstanding achievement.

Property developer Megaworld Corporation also contributed with a P3 million cash bonus.

Moreover, private companies Arena Plus gave P5 million and Chooks-to-Go pledged P3 million in cash incentives, respectively, to Yulo.

In addition to the substantial cash rewards, Megaworld Corporation presented Yulo with a P32 million, three-bedroom, fully-furnished condominium unit in their premier McKinley Hill property.

The luxurious condo includes a parking slot, home appliances, furniture, and other amenities. Yulo also received a P3 million cash reward alongside the condominium.

Yulo has been promised a house and lot in both Batangas and Tagaytay City.

In Tagaytay, he will be awarded a property within the “Olympians Village,” a special area designated by Philippine Olympic Committee president Bambol Tolentino. The village houses Tokyo gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz and fellow Olympians Carlo Paalam, Eumir Marcial, and Nesthy Petecio.
