Third District Congresswoman Gila Garcia has filed a bill seeking to establish a high school for sports in Bataan.
Pending at the Committee on Basic Education and Culture, Garcia’s House Bill 00355 is known as “An Act Creating a High School For Sports In the Municipality of Bagac, Province of Bataan.”
The school is expected to complement the construction of the Philippine Sports Training Center in Barangay Parang in the same town.
The modern training center will house 39 sports facilities for aquatics, athletics, gymnastics, weightlifting, and taekwondo, among others.
Bataan District 3 consists of towns Mariveles, Bagac, Morong, and Dinalupihan.
