Long-time tennis patron and Unified Tennis Federation president Jean Henri Lhuillier believes it will be a successful campaign for the Philippine tennis team in the ongoing 31st Southeast Asian Games.
“We are fielding a veteran team composed of seasoned internationalists who stand a good chance of hitting the 3-gold forecast for the squad. I join the rest of the country in wishing our team, together with the rest of our athletes in Hanoi, the best of luck,” said Lhuillier, President/ CEO of Cebuana Lhuillier that has been supporting Philippine tennis for a long time.
The fact that Cebuana Lhuillier tennis ambassadors Treat Huey, Ruben Gonzales, and Nino Alcantara are all playing for the national team, together with female tennis sensation Alex Eala, gives Lhuillier reason to be confident of the team’s chances.
“We have long been an active supporter of the sport and will continue to do so,” said Lhuillier, a many-time team captain of the PH Davis Cup team in the past.
