Ninja athletes try to break ‘Guinness’

Ninja athletes will attempt today (April 10) to break the World Obstacle World records and hopefully set the Guinness World World Records in the male and female 100m Obstacle Course Race in competitions.

Official adjudicators from GWRTM and World Obstacle will be coming to the Philippines to witness the event and certify the results.

While awaiting replies from other countries, two (2) elite Ninjas from Poland are already here.

Filipino Ninjas Kevin “Popoy” Pascua and Rochelle “Chelle” Suarez currently holds the world records that they set during the 2019 Southeast Asian Games held in the Philippines.

They brought home the gold medals for the Philippines with blistering times set at 29.92 and 49.70 seconds for male and female categories, respectively.

OCR 100M is a timed obstacle with a linear 100 meter-running track consisting of a start line, 12 obstacles, and a finish line. The event will be held on April 9-10, 2022 which will start with elimination rounds and the final round happening on the afternoon of Sunday, April 10, 2022.

Athletes of all abilities will compete during the two-day event – top athletes in the sport will have the chance to qualify for the national team. Aside from the elite male and female categories, Pilipinas

Obstacle Sports Federation (POSF), the organizer of the event, has opened the event to age group athletes and para-athletes.

They will all showcase their grit and resilience and powerful heart. This is truly obstacle sports-for-all-everywhere. To add fun to the competitive weekend event, athletes can also come in costume and the best OCR100M finisher in costume can win a special prize.

POSF believes that through obstacle sports we can build better humans and that sport is for everyone.

This is another first for POSF.
