Luck was not on the side of Carlos Yulo on Wednesday, as he settled for three silver medals to cap a long, busy campaign in the men’s gymnastics competitions of the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Wednesday.

Yulo took second place in the vault event by scoring 14.700 from the judges to yield the gold to Agus Prayoko of Indonesia, who rose on top with a 14.734.

Le Thanh Tung of Vietnam claimed the bronze with 14.617.

The 19-year-old 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships gold medalist placed runner-up again, this time in the parallel bars event with his 14.600 score, which fell short to the 14.800 received by Vietnam’s Dinh Phuong Thanh, while Le got his second bronze for the day with 14.233.

In his last attempt to add a gold to his collection, Yulo could not just do it, as his 13.667 was only good for the silver and he lost again to Dinh, who got the nod of the judges with his 13.767 for his second gold.
