Over 5,000 athletes from all over the country are expected to participate in the Philippine Sports Commission’s national youth sporting event for 15 years old and below.

Batang Pinoy Secretariat Head Manuel Bitog announced this, following the series of Delegation Registration Meetings in Mindanao, Visayas, South Luzon and North Luzon since the start of the month.

“We are looking at more than 5,000 athlete-participants in Palawan. Our series of delegation registration meetings since the start of July has helped the PSC to clearly determine the number and profile of competing athletes in the games,” said Bitog.

The PSC started its DRMs in Mindanao last July 3 to 5 at the Pinnacle Hotel, Davao City, followed by Visayas last July 10 to 12 at the Cebu City Sports Complex.

South Luzon was its third stop last July 17 to 19 at Lipa City Youth and Cultural Center and North Luzon last July 24 to 26 at the Provincial Employment and Skills Development Center, Narciso Ramos Sports & Civic Center in Lingayen, Pangasinan.
