Jean Henri Lhuillier welcomes the selection of National Juniors Tennis team for ATF, ITF tourneys.

“We at UTP are proud to support some of the country’s youngest tennis players who have stepped up to the challenge of playing in the international tennis scene. I am confident that these tennis prodigies will make us all proud,” Lhuillier said.

Lhuillier is hopeful that the members of the team will duplicate the feats of UTP national juniors players Alex and Miko Eala, who reached the finals of the AGS-ITF in Indonesia, as well as, the Sarawak 13th ATF 14-under series winners Johndy Velez in the Boys’ Singles category, Rupert Tortal and Brent Cortes in the Boys’ Doubles category, and Alexa Milliam in the Girls’ Singles and Doubles categories in Malaysia last year.

The UTP National Juniors’ Team is just one of the programs that Lhuillier and Cebuana Lhuillier are supporting.

Lhuillier and Cebuana Lhuillier are also supporting the international campaign of Philippine top players and world-class doubles’ specialists Treat Huey and Ruben Gonzales while continuously organizing the more than a decade-long age-group tennis circuit.

UTP announced that the selection for the 2020 National Team will end on May 31, 2020. The criteria are based on players, who will finish in the top two of the Boys and Girls 14-,16-, and 18-and-under categories. However, players are now required to have at least competed in five local UTP-sanctioned tournaments.

UTP is supported by Cebuana Lhuillier Micro Savings, Palawan Pawnshop, Dunlop, Unilab, STI, Navegar, Madison Galeries Life Style Mall, Chris Sports, and Toby’s.
