For the last 12 weeks, the Eagles RFC have remained undefeated the 2019 JML Premiership Shield, the NCR Premiership Rugby Competition.
And the Eagles will try to keep their slate clean when they go up against the young Santos Knight Frank Mavericks.
The two are set to fight it out for the crown in a championship game that will be played at Southern Plains field Calamba, Laguna today at 10 a.m..
The Mavericks have been the most improved side this year, winning four of five games.
They are a team with up and coming youth players.
For the grand final however they face a huge task against a stacked Eagles RFC who have been the competition favorites from the beginning.
“This year we have a seen an improvement in competition structure, it’s allowed for a more competitive based system across the league. The Mavericks will be looking to cause upsets in both matches. It will be an entertaining day this Saturday” said Alex Menard, Competitions Manager for Philippine Rugby.
In the women’s division, the HMR Lady Eagles will face their rivals the Santos Knight Frank Mavericks in what looks to be the match of the day.
