4 breeders rule the 54th Manila Cockers’ festival

Manila Cockers Club, Inc. (MCC) concluded its 54th 7-Cock Breeders Festival recently with four champions taking home the coveted title.

They include D&G Ultimate Gamefarm by BD/PG; Dimasalang by Paolo Crisostomo; Cavs Pride by Dennis Pancipane; and RUA Lagalag by Ronnie Andal.

Despite grueling competition from top-notch breeders in the country, each champion managed to secure a total of six wins.

Four champions dominated the 54th MCC 7-Cock Breeders Festival. Joining the winners are MCC President Ding Magboo (left), MCC Pitmaster Doc Jun Cueto (fifth from left) and MCC Operations Manager Rolly Ramos (sixth from left).

Over 200 fights were held during the derby, which boasted a generous purse of P2.62 million distributed among the winners.

Manila Cockers Club invites all interested breeders to join its upcoming derbies on May 25 to 31 (55th 7-Cock Derby); June 2 to 8 (56th 7-Cock Derby); June 13 to 19 (57th 7-Cock Derby); and June 22 to 28 (58th 7-Cock Derby).

The main thrust of MCC’s operations is to revitalize the breeding industry and at the same time provide aficionados a new method of appreciating the game of sabong.

MCC’s operations enhanced the viability of small and medium-sized breeding farms across the country. Hundreds of breeders from Kalinga Apayao, Isabela, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Pampanga, Laguna, Rizal, Batangas, Quezon, Iloilo, Bacolod, Cavite, Basilan and Davao, among others, have participated in MCCI’s derbies as it has allowed them to pit their game fowls against the best breeders in the country.
