PHOENIX Petroleum is holding three golf tournaments this year—all of which have been included as official World Amateur Golfers Championship qualifiers.

The 10th Phoenix Open Golf Tournament to be held on March 17 at Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club, Davao City is the first of the three Phoenix golf events that are part of WAGC’s qualifying tournament for 2018.

Registered players, who want to participate in the WAGC shall pay P500 on top of the tournament entry fee of P7,500.

The World Amateur Golfers Championship is the only golf competition that gives amateur golfers the unique opportunity to compete with hundreds of other players across the country of the same handicap level, and the chance to represent their country in an international level, much like professional players. It is offered in five different handicap divisions: 0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, and 21-25.

This year, WAGC Philippines will stage 20 qualifying tournaments starting March. The winners in the 5 divisions will advance to the National Finals in September and will get the chance to represent the Philippines and compete against participants of 45 other countries in the World Finals slated in October in Johor, Malaysia.

Phoenix Petroleum’s Invitational Golf on May 11, 2018 at the Manila Golf and Country Club, and the Phoenix Golf Open on June 22, 2018 at the Cebu Country Club are the company’s other two WAGC qualifier events.

The upcoming 10th Phoenix Open Golf Tournament—powered by Phoenix PULSE Technology—is held in celebration of the 81st Araw ng Dabaw, the foundation anniversary of Phoenix Petroleum’s hometown.

It is presented by Phoenix Petroleum, Luzviminda Engineering, Marra Builders Inc., and Pioneer Insurance, and co-presented by F.F. Cruz & Co., Inc., Mechatrends Contractors Corp., TataMotors, and Vitol Asia Pte Ltd.

The 10th Phoenix Open is a fundraising event of Phoenix Petroleum for the benefit of the Phoenix Philippines Foundation and its projects on education, environment, health and safety, outreach, and other future initiatives.
