Four-time world champion Gegard Mousasi gets to display his world-class striking and all-around martial arts skills before Filipino fight fans when the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) holds a public workout starting at 5 p.m. on Friday (May 5) at the Glorieta 2 Activity Center in Makati City.

Mousasi, the UFC ranked no. 4 in the middleweight division, will be joined in by top local fighters Jenel “Demolition Man” Lausa and CJ “Golden Boy” de Tomas, who will be making his UFC debut in Singapore this month.

As Lausa and de Tomas warm the crowd up, prizes and tokens await lucky participants of the pocket activities prepared by HYPER TV, and Cignal TV, Inc.

Winners of the HYPER Facebook promo are also in for a treat as they have the chance to meet and mingle with the four-time World Champion. He will also impart his resiliency and all around fighting style on an MMA Clinic at the KMA gym in Makati on May 6.

Mousasi, who met with fightsport media on Thursday evening at the Hardrock Café Makati, is making his second visit to the Philippines.

“The first time was so fast. I came here to fight then go the next day. This time, I will have the opportunity to know more about your culture, meet more people and eat Filipino food,” said Mousasi.

The former kickboxing champion has been dominating the MMA community ever since he’s made noise on the international scene. With a 46-6-2 professional record, he made his mark across the Middle-weight, Light-Heavyweight and even the Heavy-weight divisions in Pride FC, Dream, and with a notable submission victory over the heavy-weight Mark Hunt in 2009.

He transitioned flawlessly into the big leagues of the UFC in 2013 with a unanimous decision victory in his debut against Llir Latif. Although he fell short in the scorecard, he also stood toe-to-toe against the former lightweight champion and MMA legend Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida and earned him the Fight Night honors.

Highlights of The UFC Middleweight Fighter Tour will be aired on Hyper HD, the exclusive home of the UFC. The said event is co-presented by Hyper HD and CIgnal TV. With reports of Anthonette Capco
