Jiar "The Twister" Castillo of Hitman MMA and Caloy Baduria of MMA Elorde prevailed over their respective rivals   in the twin main events of the PAGCOR Battle Extreme Tournament of Superstars [B.E.T.S.] 2 held recently at the Casino Filipino of The Pavilion  in Manila.

The newcomer Castillo reigned over favored veteran MMA fighter Alvin 'Kastigo' Ramirez of Yaw Yan Buhawi for the title and the Universal Reality Combat Championship's 'Top Ring Gladiator' title.

The opening round saw the two protagonists engage in explosive striking but the younger Castillo took the advantage  in the middle  with his crunching punches and timely kicks that weakened the tough stand of Ramirez.

It's almost all over for Castillo when he caught Ramirez with a twisting armlock and was on the verge of finishing his veteran foe, who was luckily saved by the bell.

Sensing trouble against the more powerful opponent , Ramirez’s corner threw in the towel  before answering the bell in the second round for  a one-sided victory by Castillo in the event presented by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporaton thru AVP for entertainment Jimmy Bondoc and organized by Alvin Aguilar-founding president of URCC MMA.

In the other mainer , American behemoth Mansa Musa Conteh of Thailand-based dominated Filipino Bad Boy Caloy Baduria but lost by disqualification due to elbow hits that were not permitted in their pro-am bout.

Conteh took down and rained punches on Baduria right in the get-go but the referee halted the bout when the American unleashed several foul blows and ruled the fight in favor of Baduria.

In other preliminary bouts, Papua New Guinean fighter Jackson Vato  defeated Korean Min Hoo Kim  via unanimous decision.

Ariel 'The Notorious 'Lampacan  of Subsports defeated  Ronald Adam of The Den  via referee stoppage in the second round  while John Adajar of MMA Hitman  stops Dun Lee Stewart in third in submission.
