There are two more steps that need to be fulfilled before the Games and Amusements (GAB) allows Philippine Basketball Association cager Calvin Abueva to play more than a year after he was banned indefinitely from the league.

Phoenix Fuelmasters forward Calvin Abueva (8) is double-teamed by Alaska Aces forward Jeng Teng (10) and Carl Bryan Cruz (21) who is now with the Blackwater Elite. PBA

First Abueva, needs to go through a seminar of The Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards of a Professional Athlete.

And then, Abueva needs to sign that he will abide by it.

Second, Abueva, should undergo the mandatory drug test as part of the medical requirements.

The two conditions were set after the Phoenix forward was allowed to enter the PBA bubble in Clark, Pampanga.

And this is while Abueva waits for the green light for him to join the league restart.

So far, Abueva has joined the Fuel Masters at the Quest Hotel.

And he has shown confidence on his social media posts that he will possibly be able to play.

Abueva has since joined the Fuel Masters’ practices.

Abueva has been banned from the league since June 2019.

His suspension came after a series of on-court incidents which included altercations with former Blackwater rookie Ray Parks and former TNT KaTropa import Terrence Jones.

He has since apologized for his actions and has gone through community service and counseling sessions.
