As expected, most of the imports for the upcoming 2019 Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup are familiar faces.

Eleven of the 12 teams have already tapped their respective reinforcements for the season-ending conference, eight of which are returning imports.

Former Best Import awardees Justin Brownlee, Allen Durham, and Romeo Travis are set to lead the cast of reinforcements.

Brownlee, Durham, and Travis will assume their roles as the resident imports of Barangay Ginebra, Meralco and defending champion Magnolia, respectively.

Brownlee and Travis have led the Gin Kings and the Hotshots to championships in the previous editions of the tournament in their previous tour of duties.

Other returning imports for the third conference are Eugene Phelps (Phoenix), Aaron Fuller (Blackwater), Olu Ashaolu (NLEX), Mychal Ammons (NorthPort) and Joel Wright (Rain or Shine)

Commissioner’s Cup finalists San Miguel and TNT will present new faces.

The Beermen will have Dez Wells, while the KaTropa acquired K.J. McDaniels.

Columbian Dyip is also tapping a new import in Khapri Alston.

Alaska is the only team yet to name an import at this time.

The Aces, who are now under new coach Jeff Cariaso, are still exploring their options after they decided against taking last year’s import Mike Harris back.
