Ray Parks continued to dominate the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup and on Thursday night, the second generation cager let his game do the talking.

Ray Parks of Mandaluyong finishes three steals away from completing a quadruple-double.”‹

Parks dished out the league’s only second triple-double performance while powering the Mandaluyong El Tigre-Dataland to a one-sided 98-55 triumph over the lowly Pasig Pirates-Gameville at the Blue Eagle Gym.

A back-to-back MVP winner in the UAAP and the Asean Basketball League, Parks came away with 20 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and a record seven steals in El Tigre’s latest win.

His head coach, Mac Cuan, believes Parks could have done more.

“Pinigil ko lang, puwede pa siyang maka-quadruple-double, pero iniisip ko baka tirahin kapag pinalaro ko pa,” Cuan told sportswriters right after the game.

It was a no-sweat win for Mandaluyong, which went business as usual right from the get-go, all the way to posting the most lopsided win in league history.

All 15 players fielded in by Cuan produced points, including celebrity baller Xian Lim, who ended up with six points and six rebounds.

In the second game, Quezon City finally broke into the win column following a 77-72 win over General Santos City.
