THE Judiciary Magis, to be led by court administrator Midas Marquez, will take on the Department of Justice Boosters in the UNTV Cup Executive Face-Off on Sunday, 4:30 p.m., at the Pasig Sports Center.

The Magis are composed of judges/ballers from Floridablanca Pampanga, Judge Wendell Ramiterre; Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija Judge Michael Benedick Aleta; Talugtog, Nueva Ecija Judge Ian Ramoso; Manila Judge Manuel Gerard Tomacruz; Parañaque and Judge Christian Castañeda, to name a few, and from the Supreme Court, Judge Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa and Court of Appeals Judge Ronaldo Martin.

PCGG Commissioner Reynold Munsayac will lead the DOJ Boosters, together with Senior Deputy State Prosecutor Atty. Richard Anthony Fadullon, Assistant State Prosecutor Atty. Charlie Guhit, Assistant State Prosecutor Atty. Alexander Suarez, Assistant NBI Head Agent Ronald Aguto and Lipa City Prosecutor Atty. Nonilon Tagalicud.

Both the Judiciary Magis and DOJ Justice Boosters finished strong during last season’s Face-Off games as they barged into the Final 4.

Court Administrator Midas Marquez will be one of the key players of the Judiciary Magis when they take on the DOJ Boosters in the UNTV Cup Executive Face-Off on Sunday.

In another match up, Malacañang-PSC Kamao will strive to bounce back as they meet the Ombudsman Graft Busters in the opener at 3 p.m.

The Kamao failed to topple the Senate Sentinels in their opening match.

Malacanag-Kamao Head Coach Raffy Gonzales admitted that more practice sessions are needed for the team to be cohesive.

“Talagang kulang lang kami ng familiarity, napakahirap ng sitwasyon na ganoon,” Gonzalez said.

The Palace executive hoopsters believe their team is competitive as proven in their last game, wherein Lieutenant Commander Paul Yamamoto led the team with 22 points, even as Special Assistant to the President Christopher “Bong” Go made 15 points and Anti-Corruption Commissioner Greco Belgica shot 12 points and hauled 15 rebounds.

Games and Amusement Board Chairman Abraham Khalil Mitra and PAGCOR Vice President Jimmy Bondoc also made contributions.

“Palagay ko depensa and problema. Kasi ‘yung offense maraming scorer na guwardiya sa amin. ‘Yung depensa medyo nalilinlang pa kami because of basic plays pero napag-uusapan naman ‘yun,” said PAGCOR Vice President Jimmy Bondoc, who is thankful for being a part of the league of public servants for the first time.

“Ang UNTV ay laging nangunguna sa napakadaming pioneer na projects and and I’m very honored to be part of any and all of your projects dahil talagang nakakatulong ito sa awareness kahit na katuwaan lang. Ang galing ng UNTV. Mabuhay kayo! God bless you all,” Bondoc said,
