“WE will bounce back.”

This is the promise of the Malacanang-PSC Kamao Team as they gear up for Game 2 of the UNTV Cup Season 6 Best-of-Three Final Series against the Senate Defenders at the Araneta Coliseum today at 7 p.m.

The Senate Defenders, who took Game 1, 77-62, expect a furious fightback today from the Kamao.

Senate Defenders’ Senator Joel Villanueva gets away from the Malacañang-PSC Kamao defense to go for a lay up at the Pasig City Sports Center in the Game 1 of the UNTV Cup’s Best of 3 Finals series.

Malacanang-PSC coach Raffy Gonzales admitted his side needs adjustments in many departments, especially in hustle and defense, to match what the other club showed on the hardcourt last Sunday.

Senate’s tough defense prevented the Palace Ballers from entering the paint area, aside from dominating the rebounds, assists and blocks.

But Gonzales is confident the Kamao can and will bounce back in Game 2.

“The players are eager. We will win in Game 2,” vowed Gonzales, who believes his team can duplicate their 63-59 win over the Defenders last Jan. 21 in the elimination round.

Coach Gonzales added: “Alam ko mag-i-step up yan. Alam ko may bounce-back kami, maibabalik ‘yan. Aangat pa rin ang mga players ko.”

A total of 9.6 million pesos worth of prizes, tax free, awaits the teams and their beneficiaries this season in the league of public servants.”‹
