Asia Tech, Perpetual Help grab 3rd straight victories

ASIA Tech and University of Perpetual Help-Laguna marched to their third straight victories over the weekend in the Laguna Universities and Colleges Athletic Association basketball tournament at the San Sebastian College-Laguna gym in Binan.

An 87-50 triumph by Asia Tech over University of the Philippines-Los Banos, and a 91-67 win by the Laguna Altas over the San Sebastian College-Laguna Stags highlighted the games.

Jay Sabalga shot 20 points for Asia Tech, while Noriel de Torre made 19 for the Laguna Stags.

Both teams moved in ahead in the senior division standings, with Citi Global College behind with their 2-2 win-loss record.

In the junior division, CGC stayed unbeaten after four games, crushing Zion Academy, 87-37.

Mac Santos delivered 14 points for CGC, which took the solo lead at 4-0.

Greenfield Integrated School won over Trace College, 74-58, to improve at 5-1.

M. Naraga fired 14 points for GFIS.

San Sebastian-Canlubang later pulled off a 76-69 stopping of the Perpetual Help Junior Altas, 76-69, to hike their record to 4-1.

Ian Collantes led the Canlubang Stags with 21 points.
