Run for Clean Energy slated Sunday at CCP

Following its highly successful event last year, PTT, Thailand’s leading oil company, is back for a grander and fun-filled Run for Clean Energy Year 2 at the CCP Grounds this coming Sunday.

The company is geared to promote the benefits of preserving the environment, using energy wisely, and living a healthy life. Running is after all a universal instinct to all kinds of people. There is no age limit in joining the event, it is mainly family oriented.

There are three kinds of runs in the Sunday event with varying kilometers. The first one is the 10k run for those hardcore runners, while the next one is the 5k run for people, who want a little strenuous challenge from the 10k. The 3k run is for fun runners.

Call time is at 4 a.m. for registration. The registration fee differs per run, covering the race shirt, race bib, a loot bag and a raffle ticket for the Gadgets Galore Grand Raffle. The 10k run registration fee costs P520 and starts at 5 a.m., the 5k run starts at 6 a.m. and costs P420  and the 3k run that costs P320 starts at 6:30 a.m.

After the run, the raffle winners will be chosen and a concert will start. Bands such as Dotty Chan and Cahlio, fronted by Ang Probinsiyano actor Lester Llansang, are lined up to help the participants unwind from the  run.

The company will then continue on to the next event which is the MotoGP Thailand Grand Race in October, a motorcycle race with all the top racers from different countries. 

 PTT is backed with a philosophy that values being responsible for society. It means respecting the community and the environment and giving back to the world as much as it gave you.
