SAN Beda University dominated the recent 93rd NCAA Tennis and Soft Tennis tournaments by ruling four divisions at the Rizal Memorial Tennis Center.

San Beda University edged Lyceum, 2-1, in an exciting championship battle to clinch the NCAA junior division; then turned back Arellano University, 2-1, to capture the NCAA women’s tennis crown; nipped College of St. Benilde in a dramatic 2-1 victory for the NCAA women’s soft tennis jewel; and concluded its campaign by winning the men soft tennis demonstration event for its fourth NCAA trophy.

Graduating senior high school netter Dawson Ormoc edged Renz Pacheco of Lyceum, 4-6, 6-1, 7-5, for the championship point in the junior division.

But it was the inspired game of SBU team captain Eduardo Bagaforo and Aidyl Ignacio that equalized the contest following a 6-4, 6-4 doubles’ victory over Stefano Gurria and Elvin Geluz.

Pirate Jarell Edangga had earlier given LPU the first point with a 6-2, 6-2 rout over Red Directo.
