Hotshots take rookie Laput

The Magnolia Pambansang Manok Hotshots bolstered their big rotation by acquiring 6'10" James Laput from Terrafirma and sent high-flying guard Justin Melton and back-up banger Kyle Pascual to the Dyip. 

Laput, the eighth overall pick of the recent draft, is expected to aid Magnolia with his sheer height. While donning the Dyip jersey last conference, he averaged 2.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 0.3 assist in 10 games in 10.36 minutes of action

Meanwhile, Melton, who played for the Pambansang Manok since 2013, will join newly acqured Alex Cabagnot. Pascual started his pro career with Kia before going through Blackwater and the Hotshots.
