The Paranaque Lady Aces and the Glutagence Glow Boosters moved one win away from arranging a finals match-up after taking Game 1 of the Pia Cayetano WNBL Season 2021 semifinals at the Bren Z. Guiao Convention Center on Saturday.

The Lady Aces defeated the Quezon Lady Spartans, 98-56, while the Glow Boosters won over the Taguig Lady Generals, 62-53, to draw first blood in the best-of-three semifinal series.

Allana Lim led Paranaque with 21 points and seven rebounds as her team started the game with a 12-0 run and never looked back in winning Game 1.

Khate Castillo scored 14 points but the third-ranked Glutagence saw its lead down to two points, 41-39, early in the fourth but Palmera-Dy took command and buried a crucial triple in a 7-0 run to protect the advantage.

Chicky Faraon led Quezon with 13 points and eight rebounds for the Lady SparTAN as they look to bounce back in Game 2.
