The Angeles University Foundation (AUF) gym in Angeles City will hold games of the Philippine Basketball Association when it returns under a bubble setup in Clark City in Angeles, Pampanga this October.

NorthPort's Nico Elorde and Robert Bolick are shown during their training session in preparation for the coming PBA "bubble".

The gymnasium served as venue for wrestling and combat sports events last December in the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

“We’re ready and we’re excited,” said PBA board chairman Ricky Vargas, as organizers brace for action which starts Oct. 9.

The league will utilize a full bubble format, with players and crew staying in a certain venue.

And this will be the Quest Hotel in Mimosa.

“If we can start tomorrow, we would start tomorrow. The Commissioner’s Office has done a good job with the plans,” said Vargas.

According to plans, all concerned personnel will be transported to the venue and back to the hotel, to the practice facility and playing area.

The plans are now with the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for approval.

“They’re ready to execute as soon as we’re given the go-signal,” said Vargas on the plan that are being finalized in cooperation with Clark Development Corporation officials.

Participating squads will enter the bubble on Sept. 26 and scrimmages start the following day.

There will be two matches that will be played daily, seven days a week.
