The Filipino-American track star clocked 11.54 seconds in the women’s 100-meter invitational, finishing behind Kiara Parker.

Parker, a bronze medallist in the 2019 World Athletics Championships’ 4x100-meter relays, came close to the Olympic qualifying time with her 11.2-second performance.

This still put the current Philippine national record holder in the women’s 200-meter run within range of the 11.15-second qualification time.

Crystal Manning settled for the bronze with her clocking of 12.52 seconds.

Knott’s coach Rohsaan Griffin said her race was not that challenging, considering some technicalities that may have happened.

“Not challenging per se, had a few technical flaws with the race set up.  Poor execution, but nothing to panic (about),” Griffin told the Manila Standard.

Seven months ago, Knott came up with a new goal after she eclipsed the Philippine national mark in the women’s 100-meter run.

This took place during the star-studded Drake Blue Oval Showcase meet at Drake Stadium last August.

Her time of 11.27 seconds surpassed the clocking of Lydia de Vega-Mercado back in 1997.

But it remains unrecognized by the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association as the mark could have a tailwind of 1.5 meters per second measured during the event.

Because of this, the 23.01-second clocking that she did in the women’s 200-meter event in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games stands as one of two that Knott is credited for breaking.

Griffin said Knott in remains in top form.

The Fil-American track star may have the option of joining two events in her next competition this week.

On April 3, Knott will be at the  Pure Athletics meet in Clairemont, Florida.

The women’s 200-meter will be her focus, but she may try her luck in the 100-meters again.
