bout 11,600 runners braved the Sunday morning rains to celebrate women’s strength, confidence, and wellness at the Lactacyd Women’s Run PH 2025, making it the biggest all-women’s running event in the country.
Leading the field was Mea Gey Adialiaan Niñura, who dominated the 10K division with an impressive time of 43 minutes and 54 seconds, edging out Analyn Simon (48:27) and Maria Rosy Zepeda (49:23) at the scenic UP Diliman Academic Oval.
Organized by RUNRIO and presented by Lactacyd, with Anlene as co-presenter, the annual event showcased Filipina endurance and wellness. It also partnered with the PGH Cancer Survivors Organization to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, blending athleticism with advocacy.
“Despite the weather challenges, we’re thrilled with the overwhelming turnout. It’s a testament to the enduring strength of Filipinas coming together to celebrate health and empowerment,” said Women’s Run PH founder Nicole de la Cruz.
In the 5K race, Jo Punay clocked 21 minutes and 20 seconds to seize top honors, followed by Louela Marie Goneo (22:10) and Criselda Del Rosario (22:57).
For the 1K dash, Marxia Louis Ibarra led the young runners with a 5:56 finish, narrowly ahead of Jeanne Charlize Ong and Gianna Olivia Sonza, who both recorded 5:59.
More than just a race, the Lactacyd Women’s Run PH 2025 stood as a celebration of women’s empowerment, self-care, and community wellness, encouraging Filipinas to stay active and inspired.
