PH Muay Thai team bags 7 golds at IFMA World Youth tilt

TEAM Philippines shone bright at the IFMA Youth World Championships in Abu Dhabi , racking up seven gold medals so far and proving once again that Filipino fighters are a force to be reckoned with on the international stage.

The country shone brightest in the cultural division, where young athletes dominated the Wai Kru performances. Royeth Rosa captured gold in the Junior 12–13 Male Wai Kru, while Jan Brix Ramiscal secured another top finish in the Junior 16–17 Male category.

Not to be outdone, Athaliah Sarmiento claimed gold in the Junior 14–15 Female Wai Kru, followed by Samantha Audrey Ananias, who reigned supreme in the Junior 16–17 Female Wai Kru. Katniss Mishiko Caasi also showcased her talent with a silver medal in the Junior 12–13 Female Wai Kru, adding to the country’s tally.

The combat division brought more thrilling moments for the Philippines.

Atasha Althea Amoguis secured a bronze medal in the Junior 12–13 Female -42kg event, while Katniss Caasi bounced back strongly in her -44kg category with a victory that propelled her into the finals. Kale Casey Tan also marched into the championship round of the Junior 14–15 Female -45kg, already guaranteeing at least a bronze.

Jasmine Dagame, competing in the Junior 16–17 Female -42kg, likewise advanced to the finals alongside Xian Denise Robillos in the -45kg division and Tyron Jamborillo in the Junior 16–17 Male -45kg.

Team Philippines has tallied seven golds, one silver, and two bronzes, with six athletes still in contention for gold.
