MAKATI FC, behind Ayishatu Simpson, held Stallion Laguna FC to a scoreless draw on Sunday in the Philippine Football Federation Women’s League 2025 at the Mall of Asia rooftop pitch.
Simpson, a goalkeeper from Ghana, held off numerous attempts from Chandler McDaniel and Janae De Fazio in keeping the Stallions at bay.
The returning McDaniel and De Fazio, a newcomer to the Philippine national team from Folsom, California, made huge strides to score.
The Makati FC’s sturdy defense held and they still came up empty-handed in their team’s 90-minute battle.
The Stallions remained the solo lead with their 3-1-0 win-draw-loss record.
Meanwhile, Mexican booter Juliana Cisneros is the most prolific scorer in the tournament after she powered Kaya FC to an 11-0 smothering of the University of the Philippines Lady Maroons.
The 24-year-old Cisneros, a 5’4” forward, knocked in three goals for Kaya FC.
Cisneros now has a total of six goals in the three games.
Teammates Julia Humphreys and Dionesa Tolentino are the league’s second highest scorers.
Humphreys upped her production with goalsin the 28th and 42nd minutes of their game against the Lady Maroons.
And so did Tolentino after she penetrated the defense in the 20th and 55th minutes of the match.
