Japeth Aguilar scored 31 points as Barangay Ginebra San Miguel cruised past NorthPort Batang Pier 119-109 on Friday, securing a commanding 2-0 lead in their best-of-seven PBA Commissioner’s Cup semifinal series.
Ginebra dominated from the outset, surging to a 68-39 halftime advantage at the Philsports Arena in Pasig. The defending champions are now two wins away from sweeping the series.

Head coach Tim Cone’s squad will look to tighten their grip in Game 3 on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.
Cone welcomed the return of Jamie Malonzo and Jeremiah Gray from injury, crediting their presence and the team’s collective effort for the dominant performance.
“We’re playing as a unit, and that’s what matters,” Cone said.
