Obiena cleared 5.55 meters, good for second for seventh place out of eight participants.

His performance came after Obiena took the silver in a meet in Cottbus, Germany two weeks ago, followed by a gold in Metz, France two days ago.
German Torben Blech claimed the gold with his 5.80m leap, with American Sam Kendricks and Turk Ersu Sasma taking the silver and bronze, respectively, with identical 5.70s.
