Fnatic ONIC Philippines extended their unbeaten streak with a commanding 2-0 victory over Falcons AP.Bren on Friday night, during the final weekend of elimination round games in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines Season 14 (MPL S14) at the Green Sun Hotel in Makati.
Led by King Cyric “K1ng Kong” Perez, ONIC PH delivered the fastest match of the season, overwhelming the Falcons 10-1 in just nine minutes and 51 seconds.
This marked their 13th consecutive win, bringing them within one victory of completing a perfect 14-game elimination round and securing the No. 1 seed heading into the final playoff round, set for October 16 to 20.
ONIC PH gained momentum after an 18-minute, 15-4 domination of the Falcons in Game 1 of the best-of-three series, setting the stage for their quick and decisive Game 2.
“I’m happy, but it doesn’t stop there. It’s all about the momentum and the belief that we can do it,” said ONIC PH coach Anthony Senedrin.
K1ng Kong was the standout player in both games, tallying seven kills in Game 1 and following it up with four more in Game 2.
Fnatic ONIC PH will next face Smart Omega on Saturday at 7:30 p.m., aiming to maintain their unbeaten record heading into the playoffs. Earlier, Smart Omega secured their position as the third-ranked team in the standings after a 2-1 win over RSG Philippines.
