PLDT High Speed Hitters, the professional volleyball team of PLDT Inc., is ready to battle it out in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference, which opened its sixth season this weekend.
“Amid all the changes that our team had to go through recently, we are excited to see the High Speed Hitters back on the court in the upcoming conference. We will continue to support our team and help them achieve their goals to improve with every game,” said Jude Turcuato, Head of Sports at PLDT and Smart.
The PLDT High Speed Hitters will return to the hardcourt to face eight other local teams Creamline Cool Smashers, Petro Gazz Angels, F2 Logistics, Cignal HD Spikers, Akari Chargers, Black Mamba Army, Chery Tiggo Crossovers, and the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.
The PLDT High Speed Hitters are expected to bring their A-game this season under the tutelage of its new head coach, PVL champion coach Rald Ricafort, and their two new members veteran Michelle Morente and rookie Ysa Jimenez.
“I am excited to play for PLDT, and grateful for their trust in me. I hope to help the High Speed Hitters win by contributing my skills and experience on the court,” said Morente.
“I’m very thankful and blessed that PLDT gave me a chance to be here. I will do all my best to help our team,” said Jimenez.
