Combat sports fanatics are in for a treat this weekend when they tune into ONE Fight Night 3: Lineker vs. Andrade.
The spectacle goes down on Saturday, October 22, at the Axiata Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and features the best strikers, grapplers, and mixed martial artists on the planet.
The card boasts three Muay Thai bouts, including a World Championship matchup between ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Champion Regian Eersel and Sinsamut Klinmee.
“The Immortal” looks to make history when he takes on Sinsamut for the inaugural ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Championship. “Aquaman’s” last two fights ended in second-round knockouts, which means he poses a significant challenge for the Dutch-Surinamese titleholder who hasn’t lost a fight in six years.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu superstar Kade Ruotolo and four-time Sambo World Champion Uali Kurzhev will contest another inaugural belt – the ONE Lightweight Submission Grappling World Championship, and each athlete will bring their respective grappling accolades to the Circle.
Ruotolo already made history this year after becoming the youngest athlete ever to win the ADCC World Championship. Now, his skills will be tested against Kurzhev, who hopes to put the Russian martial art of Sambo in the limelight during this matchup.
The morning will conclude with the main event battle between ONE Bantamweight World Champion John Lineker and #2-ranked contender Fabricio Andrade. The two MMA fighters have already sent verbal darts at one another, and now they’ll finally settle their differences when they meet inside the Circle.
“Hands of Stone” picked up the ONE World Title with an incredible second-round knockout of Bibiano Fernandes at ONE: LIGHTS OUT this past March. It didn’t take long for “Wonder Boy” to call the World Champion out after that.
Both athletes are undefeated in the Circle, but there can be only one winner on Saturday morning.
