Games Saturday (Rizal Memorial Coliseum)
10:00 a.m. — LPU vs EAC
12:30 p.m. — FEU vs Letran
3:00 p.m. — DLSU vs CSB
5:30 p.m. — UE vs San Beda

De La Salle University guns for a second straight win when it plays College of St. Benilde on Saturday in Pool D action of the Shakey’s Super League Collegiate Pre-season Championship at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

A victory in the 3:00 p.m. match will boost the Lady Spikers’ bid to advance to the next round of the tournament organized by Athletic Events and Sports Management, Inc. (ACES).

Veterans Jolina Dela Cruz, Alleiah Malaluan, and Fifi Sharma showed the way for DLSU in a narrow escape over UAAP rival Far Eastern University, 25-13, 19-25, 21-25, 25-22, 15-8, last week.

But another tough challenge awaits the Lady Spikers as the reigning NCAA champions Lady Blazers are out to bounce back from an opening day loss at the hands of the Lady Tamaraws, 20-25, 26-24, 25-19, 22-25, 11-15, two weeks ago.

“We cannot take CSB lightly. They carry with them the pride of being NCAA champions and coming off a loss, for sure, they want to bounce back,” said DLSU coach Noel Orcullo.

Mycah Go, Gayle Pascual and Jade Gentapa are expected to deliver the goods to keep CSB’s quarterfinals campaign alive in the tournament airing live via Plus Network on Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok.

Meanwhile, debuting Lyceum of the Philippines and Emilio Aguinaldo College collide in the curtain-raiser at 10:00 a.m. in Pool B.

FEU will take on Letran at 12:30 p.m. while the University of the East and San Beda University clash in Pool A at 5:30 p.m.

Next-day broadcast of games will be available on IBC 13 every Sunday from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Monday from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Solar Entertainment will also carry next-day airings every Sunday and Monday starting 8:00 p.m.
