3 PH shooters bag golds in Pattaya tourney

Three Filipino shooters made the country proud again by capturing three gold medals in the Asian-International Practical Shooting Confederation Handgun Championships held last August 5 to 7 in Pattaya, Thailand.

Edcel Gino, director of JR Holster International Corporation and owner of Trigger Point: Guns and Ammo, bagged the gold medal in the Open Division.

Nathaniel “Bro” Tecson pocketed the gold medal in Standard Divison and Alfredo “Jun” Catalan Jr. captured the Classic Division gold medal to underscore the Filipinos’ dominance in the tournament.

Several other Filipino shooters clinched medals in their respective categories, with Enrico Papa taking the silver medal in Senior Open category, Jed Revilla and Maribay Alejandro clinching the silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the production optic light division, and Yohance Zarcilla winning in super junior classic category.

Andrea Bernos and Frances Clyv Martinez also pocketed the silver medal in the ladies’ open category and ladies’ standard category, respectively.

Team JR Holster International owner Leonardo Gino Jr. clinched the bronze in the senior category.

Gino congratulated the Fiipino delegation for its “outstanding performances in the competition and bringing honors to the country.”

“When it comes to practical shooting, nothing beats Team JR Holster,” said Gino Jr.

He also acknowledged his businessman-sportsman friend Teddy Javines for supporting Team JR Holster.

“With our dedicated staff and their world-class expertise in the sport, JR Holster ‘the gear of the champions,’ is really the team to beat,” added Gino Jr.

JR Holster also thanked the Philippine Practical Shooting Association and Thailand Practical Shooting Association.
