Bobby Ray Parks joined three other teammates, who scored in double digits, as they lifted the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins to an 86-80 edging of the Tokyo Alvarks on Wednesday in the 2020-2021 B.League at the Arena Tachikawa Tachihi, in Tachikawa, Japan.

Their efforts saw the Diamond Dolphins pick up their 21st win in 30 outings in the West District hostilities of the tournament.

Takumi Saito topscored with 20 points in helping keep the Diamond Dolphins in second spot.

Already in the quarterfinals, the Diamond Dolphins got 15 points from Shayne Washington, while Coty Clarke and Parks added 12 and 10 points, respectively.

They moved out of range in the second period, with triples from Washington and Clarke handing the Diamond Dolphins a 33-21 spread in the last five minutes.

Parks then struck twice as Nagoya went on to enjoy a 45-27 edge in the final 1:20 of the first half.

Ryukyu remained in the solo lead of the West District with its 24-3 slate, while the Shimane Susanoo Magic was at third at 19-19 and the Hiroshima Dragonflies trailing at 18-18.

The Alvarks are already assured of a quarterfinals’ place in the East District, with their 21-8 slate in third position.

Nagoya seeks to stretch its winning streak to three when it faces Utsunomiya this weekend at Park Arena Komaki. P
