EIGHT division world champion Manny Pacquiao and Philippine senator and “Fighter of the Decade” is back to his old form as a devastating punching machine while World Boxing Organization super bantamweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire looks amazing.

ABS-CBN reporter Dyan Castillejo told the Manila Standard that Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach revealed “his left shoulder was hurting while Buboy Fernandez also complained that his elbow ached because of Manny’s punching power” in seven rounds on the punch-mitts.

Roach complimented Pacquiao for his footwork during six rounds of sparring with Rey Beltran and said “Manny is exactly where we wanted him to be.

He added Pacquiao has shown “amazing energy after nine to 10 hours of work in the Senate and then the gym and added, that he’s “really pleased, he was perfect.”

Pacquiao’s training team indicated “they can feel the old Manny is back and if Jessie Vargas comes forward” because he is a fighter, “the 5’10” champion will be in deep trouble.”

In an interview with The Main Event, Donaire laughed off unbeaten Jessie Magdaleno’s decision to dye his fair to boost his confidence.

Nonito, told us “it was a way to take his mind off the fight… something that keeps his (Magdaleno’s) mind off the fight. Something  that keeps his focus away from the fight. He is scared of me. It’s fear.”

Donaire said he is “physically and mentally well into this fight” and that Cuban trainer Ismael Salas had shown him “a better way to fight, more precise, more accurate.”
