It wasn't the campaign that Gilas Pilipinas hoped for.

The Philippines bowed out of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament Manila after losing its second and last game of the elimination round to New Zealand, 89-80, Wednesday night at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Brothers Tai and Cory Webster dominated from start to finish and did damage from all over the floor to lead the Kiwis in trouncing the Filipinos, who weren't able to find their groove.

Tai had a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds, while elder brother Cory added 23 markers for New Zealand.

Still fighting until the very end, Andray Blatche scattered a game-high 30 points to lead the Philippines in the losing cause.

After losing both its games against France and New Zealand, Gilas Pilipinas' run ended in disappointment as it wasn't able to make the semifinals and notch a win.

As a result, New Zealand automatically advanced with France to the semis in Group B play. They will play in the final game of the eliminations to see who will be the top seed in the group.

The loser of the New Zealand-France tussle will face unbeaten Canada, the top seed in Group A, while winner will wait for either Senegal or Turkey.
