Voice talent and content creator Inka Magnaye finally spoke up after online posts dragged her and her boyfriend into allegations tied to the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) flood control projects.
On Saturday, Sept. 20, Inka posted a video calling the accusations against her and her partner, Mat, who works at the agency, a “witch hunt” sparked by an anonymous social media post.
“It’s kind of crazy how one post from an anonymous account was all the evidence some people needed to condemn us,” Inka said.
She revealed she had faced harassment for the past week, including the public posting of Mat’s work details, which she denounced as doxxing. She explained that her decision to remain cautious was to avoid misrepresenting her partner’s job, adding that not all government employees are corrupt.
“As a personal rule, I do my best not to speak too loudly about things I don’t know much about,” she explained.
She emphasized that not all government workers are corrupt and said her boyfriend is among many who want to serve the public.
Inka concluded by urging accountability from those truly responsible for the alleged misuse of funds, as protests over the DPWH projects continued in Metro Manila.
