BTS to drop comeback album in March, announce world tour details

Award-winning K-pop boy group BTS is set to return with a new album and world tour this spring, as its agency, BigHit Music, released fresh details about the group’s long-awaited comeback.

On Sunday, Jan. 4, BigHit said in a post on fan community platform Weverse that the upcoming album will be released on March 20 and will mark BTS’ first full studio release in nearly four years. The record will feature 14 tracks and reflects the members’ direct involvement in songwriting and production.

According to the agency, the album explores the emotions, reflections, and personal experiences the group went through during their years apart, with the members shaping the music through their own perspectives.

BigHit described the project as a message of gratitude to its fans, who supported BTS throughout their hiatus.

Pre-orders for the album will begin on Jan. 16 at 10:00 a.m. Philippine time, the agency said.

Following the album release, BTS will also launch a large-scale world tour, with full concert details scheduled to be announced at midnight on Jan. 14.

BTS paused group activities in 2022 to focus on solo projects and complete South Korea’s mandatory military service. Its last group release was the anthology album “Proof” that same year.

All seven members have since completed service as of June.
