Rochelle Pangilinan says no one wanted to produce Sexbomb reunion concert: ‘Pero tinuloy namin’

Rochelle Pangilinan is looking back with gratitude—and a bit of disbelief—after the Sexbomb Girls pulled off two sold-out reunion shows despite a rocky start behind the scenes.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Pangilinan revealed that staging the concert was far from easy.

“Walang gustong mag-produce. Walang kasiguraduhan. Pero tinuloy namin… kasi hindi naman pera ang hangad namin,” she wrote, saying the group pushed through even when industry players doubted the project’s viability.

She dedicated her message to longtime fans, “mga pinalaki ng Sexbomb,” as she called them—crediting them for giving the group the confidence to move forward. “Kayo ang dahilan kung bakit worth it lahat… kung bakit nagbukas ulit ang ilaw,” she said.

The Sexbomb Girls, who rose to fame on noontime TV and later headlined Daisy Siete, delivered two nights of nostalgia-filled performances at the Araneta Coliseum on December 4 and SM Mall of Asia Arena on December 9. Guests included Mayonnaise, Michael V., Ogie Alcasid, and Dingdong Dantes.

“This concert… inyo ’to. Para sa inyo ’to,” Pangilinan said, thanking fans “for growing with us, staying with us, and believing in us.”
