Kapamilya star Melai Cantiveros-Francisco got candid about a rough patch in her marriage, admitting that she once fell out of love with her husband, Jason Francisco.
The Pinoy Big Brother alum, who tied the knot with Jason in 2013 after meeting him on the reality show in 2009, shared that their relationship was once “shaky” and on the verge of collapse.
“Alam mo, hindi naman talaga tayo perfect kasi nafafall out of love tayo. Kaya yung sinasabi nilang fall out of love, that’s very normal sa relationship. Na fall out of love ako,” Melai revealed.
She clarified that the near-breakup wasn’t due to a third party, but to emotions and pride getting in the way. “May sobrang malala talaga na muntik maghiwalay. Pero thank you Lord, napagtagumpayan,” she said.
The TV host added that a heart-to-heart talk helped them reconcile, and seeing Jason as a loving father to their daughters, Mela and Stela, deepened her affection for him.
Sharing advice for couples, Melai emphasized: “Huhupa din yung galit… forgiveness is the key.”
