James Reid will join Kathryn Bernardo in an upcoming ABS-CBN drama.
On Friday, Aug. 29, Dreamscape Entertainment confirmed that the singer-actor is making his return to teleseryes after more than eight years.
“The powerhouse tandem you never saw coming. Asia’s Superstar—Kathryn Bernardo and Multimedia Prince—James Reid, together in a teleserye from Dreamscape Entertainment,” the post read.
Details about the project remain under wraps, but in an interview with seasoned broadcast journalist Karen Davila, James shared that he would be having a new teleserye.
“I have a teleserye that currently is in the works. I will be working with a female lead… a very talented actress,” he said, without naming Kathryn at that time.
James last headlined a full-length TV series in Till I Met You in 2016, together with then-partner Nadine Lustre. Following their split in 2020, he was cast in the shelved ABS-CBN project Seoulmate with Momoland’s Nancy.
Since then, he has focused on music, notably releasing his second studio album, Lovescene, in 2022.
